Description
IGF-1 DES research peptide
IGF-1 DES, or des(1-3) IGF-1, is a naturally occurring truncated form of insulin-like growth factor-1 lacking the first three amino acids. This reduces binding to IGF-binding proteins and increases potency in cell assays.

What IGF-1 DES research has examined
- IGF-binding protein interactions: reduced IGFBP affinity.
- Cell culture: potency of IGF-1 receptor activation in vitro.
- Comparative research: versus native IGF-1 and IGF-1 LR3.
Research interest does not establish a proven effect in humans.
Regulatory status
IGF-1 DES is not an approved medicine. It is supplied only as a research chemical for laboratory use.
