Description
IGF-1 LR3 research peptide
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is an 83-amino-acid analogue of insulin-like growth factor-1 with an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-residue N-terminal extension. These changes reduce binding to IGF-binding proteins, which makes it a long-acting tool for cell-culture and growth-factor research.

What IGF-1 LR3 research has examined
- Cell culture: widely used as a growth-factor supplement in mammalian cell culture and bioprocessing.
- IGF-1 receptor signalling: studies of PI3K/Akt and MAPK pathway activation.
- Binding-protein biology: comparisons with native IGF-1 to study the role of IGF-binding proteins.
Research interest does not establish a proven effect in humans.
Regulatory status
IGF-1 LR3 is not an approved medicine. It is supplied only as a research chemical for laboratory use.
Storage and handling
Store lyophilised vials cold, dry and away from light. Reconstitute with a suitable sterile diluent under aseptic conditions and keep solutions refrigerated. See our peptide reconstitution guide.
